Super Quick! :)

The washer just finished and I need to switch the clothes over!

We just graduated from our amazing parenting class and the Women's Pregnancy Center after (over) 12 weeks! That was bittersweet for sure! I met so many amazing women there and it was such a blessing from God! We got a brand new, in the box, pack and play and it is ADORABLE!!! We are doing a Noah's Ark theme and it even coordinates with that! :)

Tomorrow (Lord willing) I will be posting a first of guest posts! I am so excited for it and hope you all come back and read it :) Also, if any of you are interested in doing a guest post just comment with your email and I can get back to you :)

Today is the day Jason and I get a small taste of HOME! His sister and her husband are visiting from NY and we are going to have lunch with them. I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I can hardly wait to spend time with them :) It seems like we haven't seen family in forever (when in reality it is just a few months but it feels like forever).

Any ideas for cheap, fun Christmas gifts? Jason and I set a limit of $20 to spend on each other and we are trying to be as creative as possible to make it stretch! It is a fun twist that is for sure :)

Do any of you do cross stitching? I have fallen in love with it all over again! It is very relaxing to me and makes me feel productive :)

Well, I am off to make myself look half way presentable! Lol :) Just to leave you with something visual-here is a picture of me last week at 17 weeks pregnant! And yes I missed that update. Ahem. Cough. We will just gloss over that!

Have a blessed day! :)

So what exactly were we doing?

Here it is.
The long awaited answer.
We were doing wood.
Jason, Matt, Danny and I had a day where
 "we" (I just stacked lol)
stacked wood,
 split wood,
chainsawed (not a word- it is now!) wood,
 loaded wood,
 split some more wood
 and then-
got stuck in the mud with the fourwheeler
 and trailer
 coming back with the load.
So.
We get back to the house.
And I was sitting on the back of the fourwheeler still.
And I look down and I see mud.
Alot of mud.
On the four wheeler.
And you know those times when you are thinking:
I should,
no I shouldn't,
I should (as you are making a mud ball)
no I shouldn't,
whoops how did that mud ball fly out of my hand,
yipes it just hit Jasons face,
his eyes are bulging and he is giving me the look of death
as he grabs a handful of mud,
wow he is adorable,
Danny and Matt are laughing in disbelief,
oh boy I am going to die.
And the mud war ensues.
We had so much fun and we were covered!
It is the simple pleasures in life for sure :)
I am so blessed!

Blessed. So. So. Blessed.

I am blessed.
Blessed beyond measure.

So blessed to have a man of God
like Jason in my life.

Truly he is my gift from God.
My prince.
My love.
When I look at him-
I am so in awe of God!
Because it is all because of Jesus!
That I am
Blessed.
So.

It has been so long.

It has been so long.
So long since a lot of things.
But especially this:

I love to take pictures.
I just haven't in awhile.
Mostly because I was just too busy.
Or maybe it was that I just didn't take the time.
Either way I am not the most amazing photographer.
But that is ok.
Because I just do it for fun.
Yesterday Jason, Jen, and I went to a family reunion.

 Jason juggled

and preached.

Jen sang.

And I took pictures.

Lots of pictures.

Of Jason.

Of Jen.

Then on the way home

we came across a flock of wild turkeys.

There were at least 20 of them!

So I took pictures of them.

And of Jen chasing them.

Then I saw the clouds.

And got a gleam in my eye.

So I took more pictures of Jen.

Then ,because I was bitter, I didn't get any pictures,
we took a self-portroit.

And then Jen we grabbed (not literally) our reluctant driver
and we got a picture too.

Then we got in the car

but not before Jen took a picture of me.
Because this is me.

And I am so thankful the Lord is helping me rediscover
these parts of me I had forgotten or just ignored.
He is so gracious.
So merciful.
So faithful.
‎"Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart fail;
BUT God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever."
Pretty much sums it all up.
Honestly, it has been a hard weekend
and this morning I felt so completely drained
BUT what an awesome reminder from
my God that HE IS THE STRENGTH OF MY HEART!
Oh how I love my precious Savior :)
I am blessed!

Joy.

So, I have not updated this blog in over a week.
This would be the part were Katy hangs her head in shame:
*Katy hangs her head in shame.*
I do have a really good excuse though!
Life has been crazy busy!
Now that we have that out of the way...
The last post I wrote I shared about fear.
My fears.
Fear in general.
-Katy begins to get up close and somewhat personal-
As many of you know, I was in a courtship relationship.
Well, the Lord has a way of working and about two and a half
months ago we decided to end our courtship.
I have no regrets.
It was successful as far as we were in a relationship to determine
whether or not the Lord would have us be married.
Our answer was no.
And that is ok.
These past few months the Lord has taught me so much about Joy.
I have realized that even when you think that you have reached
rock bottom there is joy to be found in Jesus Christ.
I have learned that no one will ever complete me or fill that void
in my heart.
Only my precious Lord and Savior can do that.
It has been a journey.
I have discovered so much more about my God and have
fallen so much deeper in love with Him.
I never knew that such a deep, intimate and personal relationship was possible
with Jesus but now I know-IT IS!
I don't want you all to think that I have curled up in a shell and am horribly depressed.
Yes, breaking up with my boyfriend was the hardest thing that I ever had to
do BUT God has healed my broken heart and given me the courage
to dream again.
I have found joy.
So here are some things that I have been finding joy in lately:

  • Finding satisfaction in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
  • My girls Bible study that meets every Friday night.
  • Spending time with my family.
  • Working with some amazing children at my job.
  • Getting accepted into an LPN nursing school that starts in January.
  • Summer nights.
  • Night walks that last for miles.
  • Time with new friends.
  • Eating yummy new foods like chobani yogurt.
  • Working as a "manager" for Jason the Juggler (click for link to our website)
  • Swinging in our shire.
  • Time spent in the Word of God.
  • Filling up my prayer journal (it is almost full!).
  • Playing piano for my church.
  • Campfires.
  • Bible studies all throughout the week.
  • Young people attending our church.
THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON!

Have I mentioned we serve an AWESOME GOD?

Joy.

When joy is found in the Lord-it is a beautiful thing!

These are some recent pictures of my siblings and I when we went to a theme park with an amazing friend. I love my family:

Oh and just in case you thought that we are actually normal here is some photographic proof that we...are not...

*Contented sigh*
I love my family!
