What do people see when they look at you?

"Do they see Jesus in Me?"
By Joy Williams

"Is the face that I see in the mirror
the one I want others to see
Do I show in the way that I walk in my life
The love that You've given to me
My heart's desire is to be like You
In all that I do, all I am

Do they see Jesus In Me
Do they recognize Your face
Do I communicate Your love, and Your grace
Do I reflect who You are
In the way I choose to be
Do they see Jesus In Me

It's amazing that you'd ever use me
But use me the way You will
Help me to hold out a heart of
compassionate grace
A heart that You're spirit fills
May I show forgiveness and mercy
The same way You've shown it to me

Now I want to show all the world who You are
The reason I live and breathe
So You'll be the One that they see
When they see me"

Lately the Lord has been placing it on my heart to examine myself and my example to others THROUGH my DAILY life...think about these words:

"Do they see Jesus In Me
Do they recognize Your face
Do I communicate Your love, and Your grace
Do I reflect who You are
In the way I choose to be
Do they see Jesus In Me
"

Now let me ask some questions that I have been asking myself:

Do they see Jesus in YOU?

When people look at us/talk to us to they recognize HIM in us?

Do we communicate HIS love and HIS grace to everyone around us NO MATTER where we are, what we are doing, or who we are with?

Do we CHOOSE to reflect Jesus Christ to those around us or are we just content to live a "convenient" christian life that is "comfortable" but lacks passion because we refuse to surrender our ALL TO HIM DAILY EVEN WHEN IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR US?

Just some things that I have been thinking about...what are your thoughts?

You stood before creation
Eternity within Your hand
You spoke the earth into motion
My soul now to stand

You stood before my failure
Carried the Cross for my shame
My sin weighed upon Your shoulders
My soul now to stand

So what can I say
What can I do
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You

So I'll walk upon salvation
Your Spirit alive in me
This life to declare Your promise
My soul now to stand

So what can I say
What can I do
But offer this heart O God
Completely to You

So I’ll stand
With arms high and heart abandoned
In awe of the One who gave it all

So I’ll stand
My soul Lord to You surrendered
All I am is Yours

as we give ourselves to God, we give our lives and love to be used by Him. God wants us ALL, in our entirety, not part, some, or even most...ALL...100%. So knowing all this...there is a question that is begging your answer: are you going to sit there like nothing ever happened...or stand up for the One Who died for you and let His face shine through you?

Hi sweet Katy..that question hit me hard, the two of them..i'll repost your questions back to you with my answers :))

""Do we communicate HIS love and HIS grace to everyone around us NO MATTER where we are, what we are doing, or who we are with?""

i try to communicate His love, but i notice that on missions trips like in New Orleans it was so much easier, because i had all those brothers and sisters in Christ to uphold me and challenge me, back home i am not losing my zeal for Christ, mind you, I AM losing MY quiet time with the LORD!!!
and i don't like it!!!
on the missions trip i'd read the bible each and every day some days 4-5 times per day 15-20 minutes each time, do you know how much that is per day???!!!
that's over 1 hour daily that i never spent in prayer or bible study before the trip, i am ashamed to admit that God sent me there to wake me UP to Him, to give me a taste of WHO he is through service and seeing God's love everywhere, and i i don't want to lose Him ever again!!
can you katy dear please pray that i spend more quiet time with the LORD??
for example tonight for close to 1 hour i was researching different recipes online ..and that was fine and dandy with God, but HE WANTS ME for Himself, at least 10 minutes of my time per day and more :)

and you know what Katy??? thank you for the wonderful reminder with your next question..

""Do we CHOOSE to reflect Jesus Christ to those around us or are we just content to live a "convenient" christian life that is "comfortable" but lacks passion because we refuse to surrender our ALL TO HIM DAILY EVEN WHEN IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR US?""

i refused to live that convenient life finally in New Orleans, i went before the Lord Monday night on April 13th i think and just fell before Him with awe, and wonder about what i've seen on my 1st day in New Orleans, seeing how our team worked in complete harmony and unity was eye opening and showed me the glory of Christ hidden and shown in each one team member's heart...it baffled me that i've been such a blind Christian luke-warm for so long!!!
so i promised God that this time i am for real that i want to be HIS forever!!!!!
and since then it's beautiful ever since, but quiet time is hard nowaredays that i am back home!!

but thank you for great reminders on your blog sweetie!
I love you for it! :)

And Now i'll shushh because first of all my post is long and because i need that quiet time with the Lord before bed :)

i may read 1 or 2 psalms!

but it will be enough :)

love you girl!!

pray for me i am going through some stuff with my stepfather! just pray please!

thanks hun!

Blessings & HUGS to you always!

To God be all glory!

In His love always, Jane.
