Just some randomness :)

Today is going to just be randomness. That is ok though because that is just what is coming to mind :)

I have been wanting to update my blog for the last week but some things have been stopping me. Namely one thing actually.

(Source)
I realized once again that I was looking to the internet for my fulfillment instead of focusing on my Savior. Is there anything wrong with the internet? No not necessarily but it was starting to be the only thing that consumed my time. So I needed to pull back a bit. Ever have times like that?

My lil bean is growing by leaps and bounds! Yesterday I was 11 weeks!! Time is flying! Lately I have been having trouble fitting into my skirts! The other night I ran to go get ready for prayer meeting and threw on a skirt and to my chagrin found that it didn't fit! So I threw on another one and that one wouldn't zip up so I finally ended up throwing on some shorts. Sigh. It will only get worse! :) But I don't mind-it is a good cause :) I am missing my skirts though. Anyone know of anywhere that sells reasonably priced maternity skirts? I really prefer skirts over pants (especially here in  Florida for obvious reasons).

Also, I would love to hear any tips on natural birth pros and cons as well as any nursing tips from any Mama's willing to share :) I am also weighing the pros and cons of cloth diapering. Any suggestions?

We went and visited NY for two weeks and I never really shared any pictures so I thought I would now:

My amazing husband and I :) Gotta love those self portraits!
My sister Jen and I :)

Some amazing friends from nursing school that I got to meet up with which was such a blast!!! They are the best and I really do miss seeing them almost everyday! And yes-they are both adorably tiny. I look like a giant! :)

My beautiful sisters and I :) I love them so much!

So other happenings. Well, God has been really doing a work in me. Painful but oh so worth it. I am super excited about the guest posts that are going to be happening. If you are interested please just let me know :) More about what the Lord has been doing in/teaching me will be coming soon.

I love 19 kids and Counting. I have been watching it while folding laundry (I have had a lot to fold!).

Our house is getting de-bugged (is that even a word) right now.

I made a really yummy lunch yesterday (I love when they turn out) and LOVE leftovers! :)

Ben and Jerrys Double Fudge Brownie ice cream sounds really amazing right now.

Just saw this post on the office wall and I will close this random post with it:

"Look for the treasure in EVERY trial! Find that pearl."

Blessings to you all :)

The Results

So the results of the poll are in and I thought I would share them with you all! :) First of all thank you so much for all your input as well as all your comments! It was so much fun to "meet" so many fellow bloggers :)

So the results of the poll-the question was this:

What as readers would you like to see more of
 on 110% Surrendered?

I would like to see more personal stories and pictures-27 votes (79%)

This was the biggest vote and so I will deffinitely start sharing some more personal stories as well as pictures :) It has been hard because I had been trying to do like five things well and so my life became harrowed and crazy and so since slowing down I am excited to have the time to be able to take pictures and that kind of thing :) And I am excited to share it with you :)

I think it is good so far-11 votes (32%)

Thank you for this :) I really appreciate it :)

I think you need to change the layout
(the way I do the bold and caps lock to emphasize)-5 votes(14%)

I will be trying new ways with the layout (hence this post) but we will see what happens :)

I would like to see more spiritual posts-5 votes (14%)

Honestly up until a few weeks ago my relationship with the Lord was really struggling and had been since three months before. He has so gently and graciously brought me back to Himself and I have so much to share about the lessons He has taught me and I can hardly wait to share it with you all!! :)

As for people that commented on my post introducing themselves I wanted to introduce you to them :) Please take time to check out their blogs and get to know them as well! :)

What a blessing it was to read each of your comments and to be able to visit your blogs! Thank you ladies :)

So here is another thought that I had:

Would any of you be interested in doing a guest post on my blog? If you are leave a comment and I will get in contact with you. I would really love some Mom's to do some guest posts but also would love some devotional like posts as well.

Just a thought we will see what happens :)

I am off to clean my house.

May the Lord richly bless you all today! :)

A Verse to Meditate On

Hey all!
I have so enjoyed
the comments your left introducing
yourselves! :)
My goal is to
get to each of your blogs
and get to know you
better but things have
been a lil bit crazy
since getting back to Fl.
so it has been taking a little
bit longer then I anticipated :)
The poll is still up for
22 more hours so if you have
not voted please vote!
I would love your opinion :)
Taken in NY at Jason's families house :)
So the point of this
post was to
share a verse with you
that has really challenged
me over the last few days.
It is found in James
(absolutely LOVE that book
I have been listening to it
over and over
today as I have been cleaning the house).
"My dear brothers and sisters,
take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,  because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."
James 1:19-20
I took that verse
and started to try to
apply it to my daily life.
So often I am
incredibly quick to speak
and quick to become angry
and slow to listen.
But that lifestyle does
not produce the righteousness
that my God desires.
I want to live my life to bring
honor and glory to Him.
Which means surrendering things to
Him.
Is it easy?
No.
But I have found
that since writing this
verse out,
putting it above my kitchen sink
and meditating on it
I have started to think
more before I speak.
I want to portray Jesus
especially to the ones
I love most and
spend the most time with
namely-my husband.
Am I perfect?
Uh.
No.
But God is gracious
and my husband is so patient :)
What verses have you been meditating on lately?

April 12th

Our lil miracle! :) 9 weeks today. Due April 12th. The baby's heartbeat is 160 and we could actually see the heart beating. He/she definitely has Daddy's energy cause it was moving quite a bit! What a miracle! :) So amazed! :)

Hey all :)
So, I checked my blog
this morning and found that
I had 200 followers!
What an encouragement that was :)
I am so thankful for all of you and
have been so encouraged by
all your support and encouragement!
How awesome it is to be
a part of the family of God! :)
So, I thought it
would be fun if we
could get to know eachother
a little bit better.
If you want to comment
and introduce yourself
and leave a link to your blog
so I can get to know you a little bit better
that would be awesome!
Also, if you have any
prayer requests or anything
like that I will love to pray for you.
I also posted a survey
at the side of the page
and I would really love some feedback.
Blessings to you all
and hope you are having
an amazing day! :)

And I know He watches me...

We sang this song
in church today and I
was absolutely amazed at
the timing the
Lord has.
So I decided to share
it with you all.
His Eye Is On The Sparrow.
Civilla D. Martin

Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for Heav'n and home,
When Jesus is my portion?
A constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches over me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches me.
"Let not your heart be troubled,"
His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth
But one step I may see:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing,
When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him,
From care He sets me free:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He cares for me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He cares for me.

Honestly, these last few
months have been
a huge struggle for me
in every way.
Do you ever feel like
your life is just
filled with darkness?
Like no matter where you go
or what/who you turn
to there is never relief?
And here is where
it gets personal.
For the last three months
it seems as though I have been
descending deeper and deeper
into an abyss of my
own making.
Why?
Well, because God was no longer
a priority in my life.
But I was doing ministy!
Well, sometimes it is possible
to get so caught up
in ministry and
the busyness of it that
we forget WHO
we are ministering FOR
in the first place.
Being back in NY has
really opened my
eyes to how deep
I have allowed certain
destructive thought patterns and
attitudes to take root
in my heart and
had started to take over my life.
Anger.
Bitterness.
Unforgiveness.
Jealousy.
Discontentment.
To name a few.
For days I have struggled.
How do I forgive?
How do I stop being so awful?
How do I begin to
LIVE again?
I.
I.
I.
I can not do it.
I can not change myself.
I can not start to live again.
I can not be good enough.
I just can't!
So Who can?
May I insert a duh here?
Who is my Heavenly Father?
Who is my refuge and strength?
Who is the Creator of the Universe?
Who was I kidding that
I could take
care of everything
on my own?
He watches over
sparrows!
How much more is
He going to look
after His children?
The ones He sent His Son
to die on the cross for?
What love!
What mercy!
What grace!
I have been running from
the very One
,the ONLY One,
Who can help me!
But no more.
I want Jesus.
I want to know Him
in a way I never have!
What a comfort
to know that
that my Savior is
watching me.
What joy there is
in that truth!
Have you been running from
Him instead of
towards Him?
Lets stop doing that and
turn to Him in total
and complete surrender!
What joy there is
in doing so
and truly
there is freedom in Him.
